EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS

“From the outside you might say “Oh you’re cave diving, skydiving, you’re an adrenaline junkie or you're fearless or, you've got a deathwish.” None of that's true, right? I'm probably the most paranoid and cautious person you're likely to meet. That's why I'm still alive.”

Paranoia saves lives. When you do hear stories of guys cave diving and dying, it's been user error. And it's often because people who've not been trained are in the wrong kit - why the hell were you in in the first place? It’s like jumping out of a plane without a parachute.” - 19:05 - Andy Torbet

“Certainly most parts of the army like the Royal Marines couldn't give a monkey's whether we came from a council estate in Aberdeen or the halls of Eton. They're like, are you good enough to do the job or not? That’s all we care about.” - 31:37

“So sometimes I get a Priority A, and that meant that effectively the commander of the area was like, “I am willing to risk the life of my bombs squad to get this done. They were super, super, super rare and you’d usually get a medal to do that.” - 37:57 - Andy Torbet

“You've got a 1000 pound bomb, if you need to put a stethoscope on it to see if it's ticking or you want to put a clock stop on it, like a big magnet, you've got to be at the bottom. If 500 kilograms of explosive goes off, wearing one of those suits isn’t going to make a blind bit of difference.” - 45:17 - Andy Torbet

I'm a member of the British stunt register. It's quite a humbling thing because you sat at a table thinking “she won these competitions or there's that guy he was the decathlete in the 2012 Olympics. And that guy’s the ex senior Acrobat from Cirque du Soleil and Team GB gymnasts.” - 1:21:19 - Andy Torbet

“I worked on the Apple series called “Masters of the Air”, for the bomber pilots in World War Two. But we did some skydiving stunts on it, and it was like the dream job.” - 1:25:38 - Andy Torbet
